Registration process for Itiakf 2012 completed

Registration for Itikaf 2012 concluded six days ago. Those intending to attend the upcoming Itikaf being held under the banner of MQI flocked to registration camps in all the four provinces including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and got themselves registered. People from abroad also got their registration in large numbers. The process, which started prior to advent of holy month of Ramadan, saw people visiting and crowding MQI offices in their dozens for the purpose of registration.

The overwhelming interest the people have shown in the registration process is a proof of the fact that they get spiritual solace here at Itikaf City and an opportunity to connect to their Lord in a perfect environment. They get to hear Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri speak on a variety of subjects. These addresses transform the attendants of Itikaf.

Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, head of Central Organizing Committee, expressed these views while talking to the participants of a meeting held to review the level of preparedness in MQI’s central secretariat in Model town today.

Jawad Hamid briefed the meeting about the registration details across the country. He said that due to early conclusion of the registration process, it has become easier for the management committee to make up to the mark arrangements for the Itikaf participants. He said that complete data would be received at MQI’s central secretariat in two days. He also told the meeting that a central control room was being set up for the purpose of coordination among 60 sub-committees.
