Pakistan Mazdoor Ittehad to attend PAT’s public meeting on March 17
The incumbent electoral system has failed the people of Pakistan as it increased their deprivations, helplessness, unemployment and poverty. The millions of workers have been rendered jobless due to energy shortages. The ruling elite has kept people deprived of their rights for last 65 years but PAT would send this outdated, obsolete and regressive system packing through a democratic and peaceful struggle under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr Raheeq Abbasi, President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, made these remarks while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Mazdoor Ittehad that called on him in his office in PAT’s central secretariat today. The delegation, which was led by Qazi Ahmad Naeem Qureshi, senior vice chairman of Ittehad, comprised Shukat Ali Chaudhry, Secretary General of Ittehad, Fazal Wahid and Pervez Akhtar Bhatti. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and G.M. Malik were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to PAT President, Qazi Ahmad Naeem said that Pakistan Mazdoor Ittehad extended its full and unstinted support to Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in his struggle for establishment of a just, equitable and democratic system. He said that the interests of the workers would continue to be harmed as long as the present oppressive system held its ground. He said that the members of Mazdoor Ittehad would attend mammoth public meeting in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, on March 17 to protest against the system which had robbed people of their rights.
