Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri flays terrorist incidents in Parachanar and Sakkhar
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has condemned the suicide blasts in Parachanar and on ISI office in Sakkhar (Sukkur) in the strongest possible words. He said that the cancer of terrorism was spreading in the body politic in the absence of any clear-cut, publically owned and consensus-based national counter-terrorism strategy. He said that attack on ISI office in Sakkhar meant that the terrorist forces were purposefully targeting the state institutions in an attempt to undermine the morale of people and get psychological advantage in this unconventional fight.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that feeling of insecurity was increasing among the people as result of unending wave of terrorism. He referred to the Quaid-e-Azam’s saying in which the founder of Pakistan described the maintenance of law and order and protection of life, honour and property of citizens as the foremost responsibility of the state, adding that the government had failed to fulfill its fundamental duty in this respect. He asked the political parties to sit together without any further loss of time and work out comprehensive and solid counter-terrorism strategy that addresses all aspects of the affliction.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in peace and give patience to the bereaved families to bear the loss of their near and dear ones in these attacks. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
