Faith leaders felicitate Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on his birthday
Messages of birthday greetings poured in for Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri from the non-Muslim leaders of various religious communities living in Pakistan on the occasion of his 63rd birthday, which was celebrated in Pakistan and across the world on Feb 19. Key faith leaders including Reverend Chaman Sardar, Dr Munhar Chand, Sardar Bishan Singh, and Sardar Sarjeet Singh attended central cake-cutting ceremony on the special invitation of Director of MQI Interfaith Relations Sohail Ahmad Raza.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr Manohar Chand said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is an ambassador of love, and peace. He said that entire Hindu community living in Pakistan felicitated him on his birthday. Reverend Chaman Sardar said that the Christian community held Dr Qadri in the highest esteem. He said that he was most respectable personality in the sight of the members of Christian community in Pakistan due to his contributions for promotion of interfaith harmony, peace and love.
Speaking at the occasion, Sardar Bishan Singh said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was the only leader in Pakistan who advocated the cause of rights of religious minorities. He said that his services for peace and interfaith dialogue were pride of the entire humanity. He said that the Sikh community prayed for his good health and long life.
