Youth to attend PAT’s protest demonstrations on May 11: Shoaib Tahir
Muhammad Shoaib Tahir, central president of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Youth Wing, has said that a large number of the youth would take part in the protest demonstrations being held under the aegis of PAT on May 11. He said that the government, which was formed after the questionable electoral exercise last year, was forcing the youth to commit suicide by rendering them jobless. He said that there was no doubt about the immense talent Pakistani youth were equipped with, adding that they could bring laurels to the motherland if given a chance to show their talent. He said that the youth were being cheated in the name of so-called festivals.
Muhammad Shoaib Tahir said this while talking to central office holders of the PAT Youth Wing in the central secretariat on April 17. Ateeq Chaudhry, Waqar Qadri, Shahzad Ahmad and other leaders were also present at the occasion.
Underlining the need for investment in social sector in general and education in particular, Shoaib Tahir said that if the youth were rendered into productive force through skill development and affirmative public policy, they could not only put Pakistan on the trajectory of economic development but also play their role in ridding the country of various challenges including poverty, and terrorism. He said that in the absence of opportunities to unlock their potential, the youth were forced to migrate to foreign lands in search of better prospects, which caused massive brain drain. He said that if the government provided patronage and guidance, the country could benefit massively from their talent and potential.
Shoaib Tahir said that today’s youth was more aware today than was the case before. He said that the youth knew that the country’s electoral system was the real enemy of the state and society which was designed to benefit a few powerful families. He said that the struggle launched by PAT for restoration of the people’s rights as enshrined in the Constitution would culminate in the form of green revolution under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
