Revolution to change people’s destiny: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
Judicial Tribunal established to probe Model Town incident is a joke with the martyrs’ blood and law and justice system. Neither will blood of the martyrs be betrayed nor will revolution be postponed. Revolution is aimed at changing destiny of 180 million masses. It is neither meant for electoral reforms nor change of Election Commission. I strongly condemn the Israeli terrorism and barbarism against unarmed Palestinians and armed Khilafat in Iraq.
PAT leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing a press conference in central secretariat in Model Town on Thursday, June 10.
Dr Qadri said that wealth of Sharif brothers had held the entire electoral system shackled. He said that according to the Constitution of Pakistan, power exclusively belonged to the people as they were its real repository. He said that the incompetent rulers had lost their right to rule due to massive corruption, oppression, injustice, and unemployment, further stating that revolution would be followed by stringent accountability. He said that honest and educated youth would be inducted into government positions at the place of corrupt elements. Appreciating role of media in spreading the message of revolution, he described media workers as ‘Mujahideen-e-Inqilab’.
Expressing his no confidence in the Judicial Commission, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Tribunal is partisan and useless based on fraud. He said that 50 political and religious parties that attended APC on Model Town carnage rejected the Tribunal with one voice. He said that police, which was the killer of innocent workers, had become a complainant and lodged an FIR against the victims. He said that false proof and self-concocted evidence was being presented in the Tribunal which was tantamount to joke with blood of the martyrs. He said that the judge of the Tribunal should have ordered Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who conceived and ordered the Model Town incident, to step down from his office and for registration of FIR on complaint of victims. He said that electronic media showed police firing live bullets for 14 hours on end.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Registrar of the Tribunal, Jawad-ul-Hassan, was removed from his position for demanding the submission of mobile phone record, adding that the Tribunal was not given any power to identify those responsible for the horrible incident. He said that none of officials in the chain of command from the Chief Secretary downward to Home Secretary, IG Police, to DIG to SSP Operations, to SP Model Town to SHOs had been removed or booked so far.
Dr Qadri said that wealth of the Sharif brothers had kept the entire electoral system chained in a way that they could buy five such elections with their money. He said that electoral reforms were now meaningless and nothing more than a paper work. He said that the present rulers had lost their right to rule and failed miserably to protect life, honour and property of the masses. He said that they had left the people at the mercy of robbers, rapists, mafias and target killers instead of raising people’s standard of living.
He said that the government did not take any steps to overcome unemployment, adding that hundreds of thousands of educated youth had been condemned to a miserable life due to lack of employment opportunities. He said that the rulers could not find any competent, credible and honest person from the whole country to head loan scheme of worth billions of rupees and handed over its chairpersonship to one of their close family members. He said that according to the Constitution, the power was a sacred trust which the masses, being its repository, had given to the rulers. He said that this trust would be taken back from the rulers through revolution.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that extensive consultation continued for revolution, further stating that 7000 workers were being engaged and consulted at district and district levels on daily basis.
