Government pushed into a blind alley after Dr Qadri’s challenge of public debate: PAT
Pakistan Awami Tehreek Secretary General, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, has said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s challenge of a public debate to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has pushed the government into a blind alley and the Premier’s silence has only exposed his incompetence. He said that the biggest characteristic of the ruling party, PML-N, is that it did not lack those who told blatant lies that defied common sense and logic. He said that Rana Mashhood was performing his duty of defending the indefensible after Rana Sanaullah left the cabinet.
He said that the ministers who spewed venom against the military did not like operation Zarb-e-Azb and were only supporting the army action reluctantly with a heavy heart as they did not have any other option. He said that those who won elections with the support of terrorists and mocked the military as ‘Aehl-e-Gulail’ had been exposed to the masses. He said that the nation was proud of their armed forces.
PAT Secretary General further said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri had expressed the inevitability of the military operation to purge the country of terrorism at a time when the PML-N was giving a breathing space to terrorists by engaging them in meaningless talks. He said that Rana Mashhood’s statements did not carry any weight and they were like spitting at the moon.
He said that the demand of change in the country’s system was on tongue of every citizen, asking how the Law Minister of Punjab would respond to the millions of people through his meaningless media statements. He said that public hatred against PML-N had reached its peak, adding that if the ruling party suffered any misunderstanding on this count, it should demonstrate so by holding a public meeting at any place in Lahore. He said that the ministers knew that the government was a guest of a few days and it explained why they were giving nonsensical statements in an attempt to comfort themselves.
