Milad-un-Nabi Program - Report
On the 17th April 2005 under the Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Naqeeba system, Halifax organized a program to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (saw).Alhumdulilah, the true message of Milad un Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) and of Minhaj-Ul-Quran was beautifully and powerfully conveyed to the audience of over 500 sisters (record breaking attendance!) in Halifax, Central Madni Masjid Educational Centre through the deliverance of excellent speeches and touching naaths.
The special guest speakers were Baji Jamila Ghafoor and sister Sumra Ghafoor and Alhamdulillah the audience listened attentively throughout the whole program. Sister Sumra Ghafoor delivered a truly touching account of our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family). She described the beautiful characteristics of our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) and His high status and how the companions of our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) used to show love and respect to Him and we should do the same. She continued by describing that Minhaj-Ul-Quran unites us all and we should not think of ‘I’ we should think of ‘we’ in everything that we do. Sister Sumra really reached out to the youth of Halifax with the message of peace, love and unity.
Following on in this beautiful mehfil-e-milad, delightful Naaths and Hamds were sung by the girls who attend the Minhaj-Ul-Quran Islamic studies class. A heart-warming thrana about our Qaid, Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof.Dr.Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was sung by the sisters of Minhaj-Ul-Quran, Halifax. Sisters from Nelson, Bradford and Accrington also joined in with the celebration by singing naaths and salaam. MashAllah it was an evening to remember and everyone felt the beauty of being the followers of our Beloved Nabi Muhammad (peace be upon Him and His family).
For the Urdu speaking sisters in the audience there was an excellent speech given by Baji Jamila Ghafoor. The speech started off by the beautiful narration of the birth of our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) and Baji Jamila continued to say that we all should celebrate the birth of our Beloved Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) because He is the greatest blessing given to mankind. She then went on to describe all the hard work that Shaykh-ul-Islam is doing for us and we should do our part by changing ourselves and becoming better, practicing Muslims. We should sacrifice our time and wealth for the betterment of Islam and the mission. She urged all the sisters to join Minhaj-Ul-Quran and to attend Shayk’s camps in order to gain more knowledge and for your children to learn more about their religion and become practising, for more information about the mission contact the Naqeeba Jamila Akhtar. The sisters listened with full sincerity and concentration throughout the speech and were truly moved by the influential speech.
A short video clip was also shown to the sisters which included a talk by Qaid-e-Inqilaab describing the aims and objectives of Minhaj-Ul-Quran, so the sisters of Halifax got the chance to see and hear in Qaid-e-Inqilaab’s own words what Minhaj-Ul-Quran is all about SubhanAllah. There was a book stall containing the books and videos of Shaykh-ul-Islam which proved to be a great success.
