Mawlid-un-Nabi (saw) Conference 2006 Report

Alhamdulillahi Ta'ala by the grace of Almighty Allah, the mercy of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim and by the Faiz and Barakah of Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam his eminence Prof Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri the MYL (Muslim Youth League) have been enabled to organise and arrange the Milad-e-Mustafa celebrations.

The conference began with the divine and awe inspiring words of Almighty Allah with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an followed by a poem of love named 'Qaseeda Burda Sharif' (The Poem of the Scarf) written by Imam Busiri Rahmatullah alayh. Enlightening the hearts of the sisters with such beautiful recitations out of love for our Beloved Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa salim, the gathering began to generate immense responses via naray (slogans) of Almighty Allah and our beloved Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa salim. Throughout the conference praises of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim were recited instilling the love of Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim into the hearts of the listeners.

Our guest from Preston, sister Khalidah delivered a speech in urdu aswell as sister Naila who mentioned about the immense blessings just in one keeping the name 'Muhammad' for his/her son. Sister Naila also emphasised the concept of the 'Juloos' (processions) that take place during the Milad-e-Mustafa out of happiness of the birth of Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim. She related this to the processions that took place in protest of the cartoons depicting the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim and explained that those who call the 'jaloos' a bida in this case were themselves participating in the processions that took place in London and throughout the UK.

Sister Maryam conveyed an English speech about some of the miracles that took place during the blessed birth of Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim and expressed the importance of attaining love for the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim in order to be successful in this life and the akhirah (Hereafter).

The gathering was uplifted with Minhaj-ul-Qur'an flags being raised by the sisters throughout the conference and everyone was overjoyed on this auspicious occasion, and with great love raised their hands and voices in praise of Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim as well as replying to the naray (slogans) with intense feeling and emotion.

The conference ended with salaam (peace and salutations) on the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim and a beautiful and sincere Dua by sister Naila. May Almighty by the waseela of our Beloved Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa salim accept all our efforts and enable the MYL to organise further greater conferences for the pleasure of Almighty Allah and Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim. Ameen.
