Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to present his charter of demands & reforms in his speech at 4 pm
PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he will announce his charter of demands and reforms in his address at 4 p.m. He said that he would spell out his sketch of revolution in his speech. He said that he had just come to salute his workers, comrades, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters who had all the way to Islamabad after facing many hardships.
Dr Qadri expressed these views while addressing hundreds of thousands of PAT workers at Khayaban-e-Suharwardi Avenue in Islamabad who had encamped themselves as a part of revolution march after a travel of about 30 hours.
Dr Qadri said in a loud and clear voice, saying: “I remained among my workers since coming to Islamabad & did not go out even for a second despite request of some friends. I will not leave my workers till dawn of revolution.
He further said: “I direct my workers to remain peaceful. Peace is our strength. People have never witnessed this sea of people before in Pakistan's history. I will present a sketch of revolution in my address at 4 p.m.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said: “I have struggled against terrorism & militancy all my life. I gave 600-page historic Fatwa against terrorism. Peace is our faith. Non-violence is our creed. I always rejected militancy and terrorism. I ask you to become personification of peace, compassion, care and love towards all including the non-Muslims without any discrimination of creed, colour, faith and race.
He said: “Peace and love is message of MQI. Peace should be character of every single person who belongs to me or loves me. I will kick out any person who resorts to violence. We believe in participatory democracy.”
He asked his workers to remain peaceful even if someone fires at them. He instructed them to battle terrorism with peace, adding that it is a mammoth gathering of masses and he had to cross 2 km of distance crowded by people to reach main stage.
Dr Qadri criticized the government for laying a week-long siege around Model Town where over 20,000 PAT workers were trapped having no access to food, water and other eatables. He paid glowing tributes to workers for their enormous sacrifices.
