Money being used to muzzle voice of truth: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has made it clear that he will go down fighting but will not budge even an inch from his mission of fighting for equality for everyone. He said that democracy is a system where corrupt Prime Minister and ministers are held accountable for their acts of commission and omission. He said that he wants to change the system of oppression, which is at the heart of all crises the country has been facing for a long time now.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing the participants of revolution march on September 06 in front of Parliament House. He said that his only concern is that the future of sons and daughters of the nation does not become bleak. He said that he has raised enough awareness among masses about their rights and enabled them to distinguish between the oppressors & the oppressed, adding that the former cannot escape justice now.
Dr Qadri said that he was educating people about their rights and status enshrined in the Constitution. He said that one country offered me to head a peace chair but he preferred my own country. He said that rulers have made the nation dead. Voice of truth is being muzzled lest conscience of nation should wake up. He said that voice of truth is being hushed up with the power of wealth. He further stated that the rulers have made the nation hostage and slaves, adding that he has come here to get rights of people and justice for Model Town victims.
Paying glowing tributes to the armed forces of Pakistan on the occasion of Defence Day, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that there is no army as professional and competent as Pakistan army. He said that the soldiers of Pakistan army saved the country in 1965 war by rendering excellent sacrifices. He said that he paid his homage to the armed forces on the defence day of Pakistan in cognition of their meritorious services to make the defence of the motherland impregnable. He said that Allah Almighty has endowed courage on the armed forces to save country by rendering excellent sacrifices.
Commenting on the ongoing joint session of Parliament, Dr Qadri said that the joint session has been underway for last 5 days but none of the members talked about the problems of the poor. He said that while the nation is on one side, politicians are on the other. He said that present politics is devoid of honesty, vision, character and values.
He also condemned the killing of Dr Ali Akbar Kamaili in a terrorist attack in Karachi and expressed his deep grief and sorrow. He said that revolution march has been instrumental in creating awareness among the masses. He further said that after his Fatwa against terrorism, discourse on Islam does not end on Osama Bin Laden but on Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that people are leaving country in droves and choosing to settle abroad because they get employment and respect there. He said that Pakistan stands at 198th position in the world in terms of giving peace to the people. He made it clear that Islam law neither allows politics based on wealth, rigging, duress and hooliganism nor it is approved by democratic principles.
He said that professionals, doctors, engineers, and male and female students of various colleges and universities are part of revolution march and it was unfortunate that they were called traitors for demanding their rights. He said that according to Dunya newspaper, attack on PTV was stage-managed and no equipment was stolen from there. He said that had it been any other country, lying ministers would have been taken to task and made to step down from their positions.
