Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to address conventions & rallies in US: PAT
The Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, during his reorganization tour, will be visiting different cities in the United States and will address a number of conventions and rallies during his stay there.
This was stated by Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, President of PAT, PAT Secretary General Khurrum Nawaz Gandapur, and Bashrat Jaspal while addressing a press conference here at the Lahore Press Club on Thursday.
He said the ‘Save Pakistan Rallies’ will continue till the 16th of this month and Dr Qadri will return to Pakistan on the 17th. He said that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri will lead a ‘Save Pakistan’ rally and address a convention on the 7th of November at South view Studios in Queens, New York. On the 8th, he will lead a rally at the Double Tree Hotel 4099 Valley View Lane in Dallas. On the 9th, a rally will be taken out from Pakistan Centre, Shafford Street in Texas. People from all walks of life from the Pakistani community will participate in these rallies.
The PAT President said that Dr. Tahi-ul-Qadri will also address party workers’ conventions in New York, Dallas and Houston on the 7th, 8th and 9th of November respectively. He said that these events will be attended by renowned members of Pakistani community including American-Pakistani doctors, engineers, traders, industrialists and civil society representatives.
Rolling out a programme of public meetings to be addressed by the PAT chief on his return to Pakistan, Dr Abbasi said that Dr Qadri will address a series of rallies across the country. He said that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri will address a rally in Bhakkar on November 23, in Sargodha on December 5, in Sialkot on December 14, in Manshera on December 23 and finally in Karachi on December 25. He said that all these rallies will witness massive participation of the general public just like the rallies held in Lahore, Faisalabad and Abbotabad. He said that Dr. Qadri will present before the people the future political plans of PAT.
Dr Abbasi said emphatically that the PAT has neither entered into any deal with the government nor it will, adding that all such rumors to this effect will die their own death after these rallies.
