Speakers at ‘Ambassador of Peace’ seminar pay tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
‘Ambassador of Peace’ seminar was held under the banner of PAT PP-11 Rawalpindi to mark the birthday of PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The seminar was held under the patronage of Allama Mir Muhammad Zaman Qadri in Sir Syed Noor Banquet Hall. Central PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi was the guest of honour at the seminar, whereas other distinguished PAT leaders who attended the event included Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Sardar Mansoor Khan, Umar Riaz Abbasi, Malik Afzal, Naeem Sultan Kayani, Abrar Raza Advocate, Muhammad Ayaz Abbbasi and noted political and social figures. Maqsood Abbasi, President of PAT PP-11 and General Secretary Ghulam Ali Khan received the guests on arrival.
The speakers at the seminar paid glowing tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for his contributions to promotion of peace, interfaith dialogue, harmony, moderation and tolerance. His struggle against terrorism and extremism was particularly highlighted on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that it is Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri who raised the most effective voice against terrorism and authored 600-page historic Fatwa against terrorism. He proved to the world through his magnum opus that terrorism has got nothing to do with Islam and Muslims. He said that it is not possible to cover the wide range of services rendered by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in various disciplines and fields. He said that Dr Qadri played a leading role in giving awareness to people about their political and constitutional rights in addition to scholarly and intellectual awareness. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s struggle is solely for the restorations of the rights of the poor, adding that he would be back to Pakistan soon as soon as he recovers from his ailment. He said that the struggle for rights of the people and getting justice for Model Town martyrs will continue unabated. Special Dua was made for the martyrs of Army Public School, Hayatabad tragedy, Shikarpur tragedy, Lahore Police Line incident and Islamabad tragedy and for early recovery and long life of the PAT chief.
