Quaid Day Celebration – 2015 under banner of MQI London

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, Minhaj-ul-Quran International London celebrated the 64th birthday of our beloved Quaid Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The proceedings of the programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Asim Shabbir. Quran khawani was also recited individually by the attendees alongside Nawafil prayers led by Director Minhaj-ul-Quran London Allama Muhammad Zeeshan Qadri for the good health and long life of our beloved Quaid.

The honourable guest speaker Zahoor Ahmed Niazi, Amir-e-Tehreek UK, delivered a short but truly heart-touching speech on the importance of work, struggle and personality of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that the whole Muslim Ummah is benefiting from the scholarly, intellectual, educational, spiritual, social and political struggles of Dr Qadri. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is the only leader with whom the rise of whole Islamic world is associated. He is a prominent scholar who has paid his full attention towards eradicating terrorism from the face of this earth. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is also the author of “Fatwa against terrorism and suicide bombings”, which is a 600 page comprehensive book that focuses solemnly on condemning terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Mehmood, said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is spreading the message of peace, love, harmony, knowledge, moderation and integration in the globe and especially in Europe where a large proportion of the younger generation admires his works, achievements, struggle and personality.

Dawood Hussain Mash’hadi, Director Minhaj Welfare Foundation, also highlighted many achievements of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is best known as an eminent scholar and highly acclaimed Muslim philosophical thinker of the modern era. He said MQI workers should continue their hard work for welfare of the poor under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Mrs Fatima Mash’hadi, President Minhaj Women League UK, also addressed the audience. Minhaj Sister League, London prepared a beautiful documentary on the life, work and achievement of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and was shown on the projector, which was very much liked by the public present in the hall. Haji Muhammad Younis Qadri, Haji Muhammad Naveed Qadri, President MQI London, Dr Zahid Iqbal, Sajjid Hussain Advocate, Allama Mazhar Hussain and Dr Adeel Bilal, who was in the company of Dr Qadri during the recent Umrah tour, also spoke on the occasion and described the achievement of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He went on to say that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is a great blessing for the Muslim Ummah in this day and age. Birthday cake was also cut on the occasion and the birthday celebrations ended with a collective Dua for good health and long life of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
