Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri criticizes raise in electricity charges and petroleum prices
Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has severely criticized the recent raise in the prices of electricity and petroleum products calling the action 'anti-poor'. He said this raise in prices was contrary to the governmental claims that national treasury was full of foreign reserves. He questioned that if it was so, then why the poor and marginalized sections of society were being crushed under the burden of price hike. He said the government was not responsive to the demands of the people.
