Dr Zakir's statement condemned

Dr Zakir A. Naek's statement about Yazid in which he has branded him as the Amir of believers is reflection of ignorance and we condemn it in vehement terms. These views were expressed by Al-Haaj Allama Imdadullah Khan, President Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council Punjab in a statement. He called such thinking as un-Islamic. Dr Zakir has tried to disfigure the Islamic history by passing such a reprehensible statement. He said Yazid's name is symbol of evil, oppression and everything that is Satanic. Imam Ahmad Bin Humbul and Qazi Sanaullah Panipatti have termed Yazid as infidel. Efforts were being made to spread Yazidi thought through media by branding such person Amir-ul-Momineen who is responsible for the bloodbath of the Holy Prophet's family. Such Islamic scholar has nothing to do with the real Islamic thoughts. People having similar thought previously opposed the creation of Pakistan and they were now hurting the feelings of Islamic Umma by showing their bias against the people of the Prophet's household (saw). Allama Imdadullah Khan said Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council condemns such statements in the strongest possible terms.
