Exploitative system responsible for enslaving people: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the more the masses bear the oppressive system, the more dangerous it would be for the country. He said that this system is responsible for making the poor the slaves of the rich and the powerful. He said that he had stated on the first day that those showing expediency on the Model Town tragedy will regret it once day, adding that now they are facing the consequences one after the other. He said that there is an undisputed hold of multi-billionaire families on the country in the name of democracy.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking to leaders of the PAT Lawyers Wing yesterday on telephone from abroad. The lawyer-leaders apprised the Chairman PAT about the latest legal status of the Model Town tragedy. They told him that they have filed a petition before the LHC to get different challans and indictment in the Model Town case clubbed together. They said that fake witnesses of police are being ‘facilitated’ to bear witnesses in the anti-terrorism court.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we would not rest till we get justice for the Model Town victims. He said that we are looking at the institutions responsible for dispensing justice, adding that the next strategy depends on the court verdict.

Expressing his deep sense of grief and sorrow on the killing of the PPP worker in Azad Kashmir, Dr Qadri said that the present rulers are impressed by the thoughts of dictators such as Hitler and Mussolini. He said that they do not have any political morality nor any tradition as they want to get power, wealth and influence at every cost. He said that there is no political party the blood of whose workers has not been shed. He said that the nation would have to get together against this system of corruption and plunder today or tomorrow. They more they delay, the greater will be the havoc, he added.

Dr Qadri said that PAT workers gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives while struggling peacefully against corruption and status quo, adding that they remain resolute in their fight even today. He said that the perpetrators of Model Town tragedy thought that things were on the right track and that they would be able to push the issue of 14 killings under the carpet but they would not be able to do so. He said that those who shed the blood of innocent will pay for every drop of blood in this world.

Commenting on the news item regarding distribution of Rs. 200 million to every legislator of the ruling party ahead of the State Assembly elections in AJ&K, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the robbers of the public mandate open up their coffers full of money as the time for elections approaches. He said that the mandate was stolen in General Elections 2013. He said that notice of such news should be taken at the highest level.

PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri condoled with former Secretary General of MSM Rizwan Bashir on the demise of his father. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace and grant patience to the bereaved family.
