Speakers at Bazm-e-Minhaj ceremony ask youth to promote peace

Addressing a programme of Bazm-e-Minhaj, renowned lawyer and former Federal Minister S.M. Zafar has asked the youth to spread Islamic message of peace. He said that our survival and identity is linked to survival of Pakistan. He asked them to tell the world that peace, tolerance and love propagated by Islam is not to be found in any other religion. He said that it is his advice to the students to always speak truth, adding that they are the hope of the elderly.

Addressing the ceremony, President of All Jammu Kashmir Council Sardar Ateeq Khan said that if the Last Sermon delivered by the Holy Prophet (SAW) is made part of the UN charter, extremism and intolerance will end from the world. He said that the rulers should also keep the rights of Pakistan in view in addition to the women rights. He said that Pakistan is the only country of the world where it is the military which has to do ever thing. He said that the governments facilitate their armies the world over but difficulties are created in its way here in Pakistan. He said that the military is struggling for elimination of terrorism, strengthening economic stability and promotion of peace. Sardar Ateeq Khan further said that AJ&K has the potential of producing 40,000 MW electricity but the rulers are not paying their attention to it.

Ijaz Chaudhry, MWM leader Allama Nasir Sherazi, senior artist Usman Peerzada, senior journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti, Dr Mumtaz ul Hassan Baavari, Syed amjad Ali Shah, Sohail Raza, Shahzad Rasool, and Abdul Hafeez Ch addressed the Bazm-e-Minhaj ceremony.

PAT Secretary General welcomed the distinguished guests and said that the policies of the government are having an adverse impact on the talent of the youth. He said that the current rulers and the youth community cannot go together and the former will have to go home.

PTI leader Ijaz Ch said that the educated youth does not like the rulers due to their corruption. He said that literacy rate and standard of education is improving in the world but is on the steep decline in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is becoming weak due to flawed policies of the rulers.

Allama Nasir Sherazi said that he who cannot speak against brutality and oppression can never stand up to the oppressor. He said that he who thinks that the Model town story is over has only seen one side of the picture, adding that there is no place for the oppressors in Pakistan.

Renowned journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti said that everyone says that brutality is being committed in Kashmir and Afghanistan. He said that he was rather of the view that oppression is being perpetrated in Pakistan as well. He said that 95% of corruption has become legal now and more than 85% of the people are earning less than Rs. 10,000 as salary. He said that media shows fashion shows but does not show funeral prayers of Mumtaz Qadri. He said that justice can only be got when snatched. He said that the people are selling their children and kidneys and the rulers are selling PIA.

Senior artist Usman Peerzada said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is rendering a great service to Pakistan by educating them about peace and love. Sohail Ikhlaq presented kalam in the ceremony. The position holders were given prizes at the end.
