Surrender of Chotu Gang after Panama papers significant: PAT CWC
A meeting of the Central Working Council of PAT was held at the central secretariat with senior leader Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in the chair. The meeting strongly condemned the killing of the police officials in Karachi. Pakistan Army and Rangers were felicitated on the successful operation against the Chotu gang in Rajanpur. It was demanded that the case against the Chotu gang should be heard in military court. It was observed that if the criminals were handed over to police, they will be killed in fake encounters. The meeting further noted that the time to expose the political and non-political facilitators of criminals and terrorists has come.
Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Muhammad Saeed, Brig (r) Muhammad Iqbal, GM Malik, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Farhat Hussain Shah, Farah Naz and others attended the meeting.
Addressing the CWC meeting, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has spelled out the recipe for 100% success of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb, adding that the Zarb-e-Ghazab should be started to break the nexus between corruption, power and terrorism. He said that as long as looters of national wealth and facilitators of terrorism and criminals reach their end, neither will peace be established nor will dream of stability and progress be fulfilled. He said that PAT workers rendered financial and physical sacrifices in their struggle against corruption, terrorism and oppressive system, adding that this war continues for restoration of rights of 190 million people.
The Chairman of Supreme Council said that the patrons of the Chotu gangs mercilessly martyred our innocent workers and the nation now wants to see the culprits held responsible. He said that if connection of the Chotu gang was established with the people of the provincial government, then the Chief Minister will have to resign. He said that the surrender of Chotu gang after the Panama leaks is a significant development. He said that he wanted to put the nation on the alert that the report of inquiry on the Panama leaks will not be different from that of the so-called JIT on the Model Town. He said that the dust is being thrown into the eyes of the people in the name of the commission.
Expressing his views on the occasion, Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that if Ghulam Rasool Chotu is handed over to police, it will kill him in extra-judicial incident and thus save his patrons. Therefore, all members of the gang should remain in the custody of the army and their cases should be transferred to the military courts after thorough investigation.
The meeting through a resolution moved by Major (r) Muhammad Saeed criticized the government for increase in load-shedding. Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and the cheque of financial assistance was given to the family of Azmat Bhatti, personal guard of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri who rendered his services for 27 years. The Dua was made by Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani.
