Spiritual gathering held under MWL Nelson
MWL Nelson held its weekly Halaqat-e-Darood Mehfil on Monday 13th March 2017, with approximately twenty-five ladies in attendance. The Halaqat-e-Darood Mehfils are organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson and take place all year around every Monday morning from 11.00a.m to 12.30p.m at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre, Carr Road Nelson.
The mehfil followed it’s usual set pattern as advised by the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, whereby initially Darood Sharif was recited by all the attendees for approximately half an hour. A special and powerful wazaif was then read by Sister Saimah Andaleeb (Tarbiyah Secretary, MWL Nelson). Following this Sister Nasreen recited a few ayats from Irfan-ul-Quran along with its Urdu translation. Following this Sister Saimah Andaleeb motivated the sisters by reading a few Ahadees from Iman-ul-Sawi explaining about the countless blessings bestowed by Allah SubhanaTallah upon those who recite Darood Sharif and perform Zikr and remembrance of Allah Ta’ala in congregation. Imam Busari's Qaseedah Burdah Sharif was then beautifully recited by all attendees led by Sister Parveen Anwar (General Secretary, MWL Nelson) and everyone was encouraged to join in. Sister Rizwana Gul (President, MWL Nelson) had all the sisters joining in with a melodious recitation of a naat to bestow blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him. The programme reached its conclusion with Zikar, Salaam and a heartfelt Dua which was read by Sister Saimah.
MWL Nelson holds Salat-ul-Tasbeeh at Minhaj-ul-Quran Masjid, Brunswick Street, Nelson every Friday morning starting at 10.00 am followed by Halqat-e-Darood; all attendees were encouraged to attend this. Attendees were also informed upcoming events to be held at Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson and other locations.
