Azad Kashmir: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri addresses 'Rahmatun-lil-Alameen Conference' in Mirpur
Extremism biggest threat to Islam & Muslims: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Addressing a ‘Rahmatun-lil-Alameen Conference’, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chairman of the Supreme Council, has said that extremism is the biggest enemy of Islam and the Muslims. He said that the poison of extremism is destroying our youth, stating that in order to eliminate this scourge, every child and youth of the Islamic world will have to forge unity in their ranks. He said that sectarianism and terrorism stem from extremism. He said that without any shadow of doubt, terrorism has become a major threat to the peace and stability and the very future of humanity. He said that Islam is a religion of peace whose universal values and teachings revolve around the pivot of love, moderation, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. He said that the MQI has been spreading the Islamic message of love and peace in every corner of the world and Pakistan.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the teachings of Allah and His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are that the believers should avoid factionalism as it leads to chaos and mischief and those who indulge in these evil activities will not be able to enter paradise. He said that Islam has equated the killing of one human being with the killing of the entire humanity. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that if mischief hits his people and they are on the verge of falling prey to factionalism and differences, then he whosoever plays his role to bridge the divide and overcome the differences and calls out to them to close their ranks and strike understanding, he will get more reward from Allah than all the donations and optional prayers can afford. He said that creating differences and discord among the people is akin to undermining the foundations of the faith.
The Chairman of MQI Supreme Council said that Allah Almighty has many attributes but one of the attributes He mentioned in the Holy Quran particularly relates to His being merciful. He said that Islam’s message is not just directed to its followers alone. Rather, it talks about welfare and well-being of the entire humanity without any exception. He said that mercy and love are dominant strands in the teachings and sayings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as well. He said that mercy, love, affection and good mannerism occupy central place in the teachings of the Islamic faith.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that we are proud that the people of Kashmir are champions of love, peace and selflessness. He said that it is the region from which humanity finds its love and the rights of no one are compromised. He said that it is for this reason that this region is the focus of the global attention. He paid rich tributes to the resilience of the Kashmiris of the occupied Kashmir and said that they have been battling the occupation forces with the power of a dream and suffering atrocities in the process. He said that despite every challenge they have faced, they have continued to wage a struggle for freedom peacefully. He said that the United Nations gave its firm commitment for a plebiscite to be held but the promise has yet to be realized and the people of the held valley are still waiting for it. He prayed to Allah Almighty to endow the people of the held Kashmir with freedom.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri strongly condemned the Israeli act of firing live on the peaceful Palestinians and persisting with the worst ever reign of terror. He said that the freedom struggles of Kashmir and Palestine are globally recognized as wars for independence. He said that those who have not given them their globally recognized rights are oppressors and usurpers. He said that PAT and MQI under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri have waged relentless struggle for peace and elimination of oppression. He said that wherever excess will be committed, Dr Qadri and his workers will raise voice for the oppressed there. He said that it was as a result of their commitment and sustained struggle against oppressive system that Model Town tragedy was perpetrated. He said that it has been four years since Model Town but justice has not been provided. He however added in the same breath that we are not disappointed and the day is not far when the killers will meet their logical end under the law of the land.
Upon reaching Mirpur, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was given a red-carpet welcome by the leaders and workers of MQI and PAT. Rose petals were showered on him and he was taken to the venue of public meeting in the form of a caravan. The workers raised passionate slogans on the occasion.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will deliver several addresses during his stay in the valley. He will also hold meetings with the workers and visit shrines of the Sufis.
