The world is appreciative of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s services: Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani
Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that the whole world acknowledges the scholarly services of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He paid his rich tributes to the MQI patron-in-chief on compiling the Quranic Encyclopedia. He said that the services rendered by his family in the field of education are manifest from Alamdar College and Nishtar Medical College. He said that his relationship with Dr Qadri is that of knowledge and devotion.
The former Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing the Quran Conference in Multan. Chairman of the MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri presided over the programme.
Those who addressed the ceremony included Sardar Shakir Mazari, Prof Muhammad Hussain Azad, Chaudhry Naeem, Yasir Irshad, Allama Abu Baker Usman, Dr Ashfaq Hashmi, and Huma Ismal. Qari Nasir Mian Khan Bakhsh, Makhdoom Abu Al-Hassan Gillani, Makhdoom Zawar-ul-Hassan Qadri, Ch. Fayyaz Ahmad Warraich, Sahibzada Masoom Mian Hamid, Haji Javed Akhtar Ansari, Mansoor Qasim Awan, Ch. Irfan Yousaf, Rukan-ud-Din Nadeem Hamdi, Pir Aziz-ur-Rehman Qadri, Pir Madni Qadri Rizvi, Khalifa Zia-ul-Din, Pir Afzal Farid, Allama Shafique-ul-Badri, Rao Arif Rizvi, Makhdoom Shahbaz Hashmi, Major (r) Iqbal Chugtai, Ehsan Saeedi, Hafiz Zafar Qureshi, Hafiz Manzoor Elahi, Samar Hamdi, Basharat Abbas Qureshi, Allama Ghulam Shabbir Swagi, Qurban Fatima, Ghazal Ghazi and Abid Bokhari were the distinguished guests present on the occasion.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said in his address that Allah Almighty revealed all forms of knowledge to the Holy Prophet (SAW). He said that it is for this reason that one should have a relationship of deep love and devotion with the Prophet of Islam (SAW) before understanding the Quran. He said that the whole world is benefiting from the knowledge of Dr Qadri today. He said that Islam teaches us about love, peace and tolerance but the former rulers indulged in bloodshed in Model Town. He said that we would continue our struggle for justice until it is delivered.
Qari Nasir Mian Khan Naqshbandi led the Dua at the conclusion of the Conference. A large number of women also attended the programme. A stall of the books written by Shaykh-ul-Islam was also set up at the Conference.
The PAT workers extended a warm welcome to Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri when he reached Multan. They danced to the tune of drum and showered rose petals on Dr Hassan. Haji Javed Akhtar Ansar, the special advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab, received the Chairman of MQI Supreme Council at his place in Multan.
