While talking to the audience, he pinpointed a very unfortunate reality of the present times about the impact of listening to some influencers who would say that Ima'an and faith resides in the heart, not in our dress or not in our practice. They would tell us we don't need to pray physically because it's to be performed spiritually with our hearts and minds. These influencers would make their audience think that the practicing Muslims are backward, because they are following religion, culture and traditions from 1400 years ago.
Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri went on to explain the level of confusions and doubts such people create in us and said that "We listen to the people who believe that the Holy Quran and the words of Hadiths are ancient texts and we cannot achieve anything progressive in the present times from these texts." After stating this, he said that such company take us away from the certainty and Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Shaykh Hammad continued his talk while asking this alarming question that "Aren't we listening to people who take us away from a life of obedience of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and the commandments of the Holy Prophet ﷺ?"
Then Shaykh Hammad Mustafa gave a beautiful nasiha to the brothers and sisters attending the session to attain good and soulful companionship. He urged the young audience to spend time in reading the books of scholars, shuyukhs and great Islamic scholars and sufis to acquire their companionship. He said "We should strive to sit in their company. Spend time and acquire knowledge from them to save our Ima'an from the doubts and confusions affecting our faith."
The Shaykh reminded the youth to be careful of their deeds, in public and what is done in private and said "Our deeds will be presented before Allah Almighty, what we have done in privacy and behind closed doors" so we must end our negligence and turn away from this "double life" where on one hand we follow and act upon Divine commandments and on the other hand we commit sins, when not being observed by anyone around.
Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa Al-Arabi Al-Qadri, Senior members and designators were also present on the occasion۔ The session was attended by young brothers and sisters.
