Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri pays tributes to the Quaid-i-Azam
In his special message on the 146th birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founding father Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that honesty and truthfulness were the hallmark of the Quaid-i-Azam’s leadership. He said that the Quaid protected the national assets and resources all his life; never used his official position for any personal gain and sacrificed his successful professional life for the cause of Pakistan.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the nations progress by leaps and bounds if they are led by honest leaders, adding that the corrupt rulers become the cause of their downfall. He said that even the political opponents of the Quaid-i-Azam had no doubt about his honesty and strength of character. “The Quaid was a man of character who would seek intellectual guidance from the Holy Quran,” he said.
Paying tributes to the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the founding father of Pakistan envisaged the country to be an Islamic welfare state. He said that Allah had blessed the Quaid-i-Azam with wisdom and sagacity. Soon after Pakistan came into being, the Quaid warned the nation of the evils of nepotism, corruption and hoarding, for he knew that these social evils would undermine the nation.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri bemoaned the fact that the golden principles of the Quaid-i-Azam were ignored which has resulted in the disappointment and uncertainty holding sway in our midst. He said, “No society can move forward without honesty and adherence to the truth.”
