Denmark: Shaykh Hammad Mustafa addresses Al-Rahma Conference 2023

The al-Rahma Conference 2023, organised under the auspices of the Minhaj Youth League Denmark, took place at the Musikteateret Albertslund in Copenhagen. This remarkable event featured renowned Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri as the special guest and keynote speaker. Notably, the event also saw a special appearance by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Denmark, Shoaib Sarwar.

During Shaykh Hammad's keynote lecture, he emphasised the significance of both the inner and outer beauty of human beings, focusing on the moral excellence and behaviour of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He spoke about how a person's true identity is reflected in their moral conduct, their behaviour towards others, and how they respond to the challenges within society and the community.

Shaykh Hammad highlighted that Allah perfected both the outer and inner beauty of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), making him a paragon of grace and blessings. He explained that while humans are given physical perfection by Allah, they are also imbued with divine moral conduct, excellent behaviour, etiquette, and virtues.

The Shaykh stressed that to be respected and contributing members of society, individuals must practise the beautiful morals and behaviours of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He quoted the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as saying that those with the best moral excellence will be the most honoured on the Day of Judgment. However, the absence of such virtues can diminish the value of righteous deeds.

Shaykh Hammad also challenged the prevailing notion that power and wealth determine influence in society. He asserted that the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) vision was based on the idea that true influence is established through excellent morals, behaviour, and respect for others, especially those less privileged and younger or older than oneself.

The key message was that beauty and moral excellence are two aspects of the beloved Prophet's (PBUH) character, and they can help drive communities and societies closer to the true message of Islam. Generosity, both in action and attitude, was highlighted as a significant aspect of moral excellence, with Shaykh Hammad underlining that it begins in the heart and mind.

The Shaykh urged the audience, to raise their standards of behaviour and moral conduct, emphasising that society is built upon excellent interactions among individuals. To truly represent the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Shaykh Hammad encouraged attendees to reflect his mercy, kindness, and generosity in their lives.

The event was attended by President MEC, Bilal Uppal, Ameer-i-Tehreek, Sheikh Ashfaq, President MQI Denmark, Dr Urfan Z. Ahmed, General Secretary of Milli Görüs Denmark, Huzeyfe Öztoprak, Imam of the Albanian Society Denmark, Basri Kurtisand, and other officials. The event was attended in large number by Pakistani, Turkish, Arab communities, and prominent individuals from various walks of life.
