Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri addresses Workers Convention organized by MQI Australia

His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri honored the worker’s convention organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Australia with his presence.

The Workers Convention was a profound and spiritually enriching event aimed at reinforcing the commitment of Minhaj-ul-Quran International members towards the mission of spreading the true message of Islam. The convention provided a platform for reflection, learning, and reinvigoration of the values and principles that Minhaj-ul-Quran stands for.

Accompanying him were Chairman Supreme Council Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, President Minhaj-ul-Quran International Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League International Dr. Ghazala Qadri, Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, Mrs Safa Hammad Qadri, and Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa al-Arabi al-Qadri.

His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri began his keynote address by highlighting the unprecedented challenges to Iman (faith) in today's world. He stressed that we live in a global village where the protective atmosphere, environment, and neighborhood that once preserved Iman have drastically changed.

Shaykh-ul-Islam shared personal anecdotes from his childhood, recalling how his father, Farid-e-Millat Dr. Farid-ud-Din Qadri, would cry during Tahajjud (late-night prayers). He narrated how he would wake up and ask his mother why his father was crying, seeking to understand the depth of his devotion. This upbringing, surrounded by pious individuals, created a strong foundation of faith.

Shaykh-ul-Islam lamented the decay of piety and morality over the generations, noting that the difference between purity and impurity has become blurred. The legacy of piety is being denied, and the influence of social media and self-proclaimed scholars without classical foundation has further exacerbated the situation. He emphasized that knowledge in languages like Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Urdu is essential for a deep understanding of the faith.

Shaykh-ul-Islam underscored the importance of companionship and collective support in protecting one's Deen (religion). He stated that no individual can protect their Deen alone; it requires the support of a collective group. He highlighted the blessings of being part of MQI, which provides a strong support system. He referenced [al-Fātihah, 1:4]: "O Allah! You alone do we worship and to You alone do we look for help," emphasizing the need for collective worship and seeking help from Allah.

Shaykh-ul-Islam urged the attendees to play an active role in Minhaj-ul-Quran International's mission. He stressed the importance of not remaining isolated and prioritizing their time, ideas, and financial support for the cause. He encouraged the creation of weekly Halqa e Durood (circles of sending blessings on the Prophet ﷺ) in every home, promoting knowledge and dawah (inviting others to Allah).

He referenced [al-Baqarah, 2:3]: "Those who believe in the unseen, and establish Prayer (fulfilling all its requisites) and spend (in Our way) out of what We have given them," highlighting the virtues of establishing prayer and spending in the way of Allah. He urged making every home a small Minhaj-ul-Quran center, fostering purity and piety through weekly circles.
