Shaykh ul Islam, addresses a grand Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference in Kuala Lumpur
The founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, addressed a grand Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he stated that blasphemous fatwas and insults are being spread on social media for dollars. He expressed concern that the moral values of the youth are being corrupted, and through religious exploitation and foul language, the younger generation is being disillusioned with Islam. He emphasized that Islam is a religion that upholds the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and peace, but under the guise of religion, these values are being distorted, causing the youth to become alienated from the true principles of Islam. He called upon religious scholars, spiritual leaders, and the custodians of shrines to rise against this menace and restore the true role of spiritual centers, pulpits, and mosques.
In his speech, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri further emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and security. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) imparted teachings for the welfare of humanity. Islam teaches love and brotherhood, not hatred and revenge. He lamented that those issuing fatwas on social media under the guise of religion are distorting Islamic values. Those who insult and issue more fatwas receive more dollars. This evil must be stopped. He said the educated segment of the Muslim community should reject such environments filled with insults, and the youth should be educated not to spread such hateful content unknowingly. Such religious exploiters should be discouraged.
The MQI leader also added that whoever desires to meet Allah in a state where
Allah is pleased with him should hold fast to the pure life of the Holy Prophet
(PBUH).
