Islam provides a code of life based on collectivity: Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
To avoid atheism and intellectual chaos, adopt collectivism instead of individualism
Use the word "we" instead of "I" in homes and professional life, address to the intellectual session
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Supreme Council, addressed an intellectual and training session at the central secretariat. In his speech, he said that Islam has gifted humanity a code of life rooted in collectivity. He emphasized avoiding the chaos of atheism, takfiri ideologies, and intellectual disarray by rejecting individuality in favor of collectivity and rejecting all forms of sectarianism.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri urged people to learn to acknowledge the services of others in their homes and professional lives and to replace the word "I" with quot; We." He highlighted that divine support rests with the community, and through consultation and teamwork, even the most challenging goals can be easily achieved.
This consultative approach, he said, enhances mutual trust and improves performance.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council remarked that Satan was proud of his worship, but his arrogance and excessive use of "I" led him to be condemned until the Day of Judgment.
Speaking about the importance of collectivity, he noted that Allah and His Messenger PBUH) favor collectivity in worship. Offering congregational prayer holds rewards many times greater than performing it individually. The collective acts performed during Hajj illuminate the experience with unity, he explained.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri cited the Quranic command "La Tafarraqu" (Do not divide into groups and factions) and stated that sectarianism harms unity and solidarity. He further said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has always united all schools of thought on the basis of knowledge and mutual respect.
"On the historic occasion of the conclusion of Sahih al-Bukhari on December 15, thousands of scholars and spiritual leaders from across the country were brought together, an event expected to yield far-reaching positive outcomes, Insha’Allah," he maintained.
Dr. Hassan concluded by highlighting the message of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, urging the Muslim Ummah to unite on the foundation of knowledge and research.
