Vienna: Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Official Visit to Sigmund Freud University

On the 31st of January 2025 Chairman Supreme Council, Minhaj-ul-Quran International MQI, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, paid an official visit to Sigmund Freud University SFU in Vienna, where he met with the university’s esteemed Rector and Founder, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Alfred Pritz, in his office.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Afsar Rathor, former UN diplomat, along with Hassan Bostan, General Secretary of Minhaj European Council, and Faiz Alam, Executive Member of the National Executive Council, MQI Norway, who accompanied Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri.

During the meeting, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri provided an insightful introduction to the mission, vision, and global initiatives of Minhaj-ul-Quran International MQI, highlighting its key projects aimed at promoting education and social welfare across the world.

Given that Sigmund Freud University and Minhaj University Lahore (MUL)—where Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri serves as a Member of the Board of Governors and Dean of the Faculty of Law—signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last year, the discussion also focused on strengthening academic collaboration. Rector Dr. Alfred Pritz expressed his deep appreciation for the remarkable educational efforts and modern advancements of Minhaj University Lahore. He was particularly impressed by the scale and impact of MUL’s initiatives in the academic sector.

Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri presented the Rector with his book, “The Constitution of Medina and The Concept of the Welfare State” along with several works authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The Rector received these gifts with great enthusiasm and expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.

This meeting served as a significant step towards strengthening academic ties between SFU and MUL while fostering deeper connections in the field of education and research.
