Israeli barbarism is a gross violation of human rights and international law: Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani

Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani, president of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), has condemned the Israeli raids on the Ghaza city of Palestine in the strongest possible terms. He said that Israeli barbarism perpetrated on the innocent including women and children constituted gross violation of human rights, international laws and conventions. The American and British act of vetoing the resolution against the unprovoked Israeli aggression on the Palestinians was tantamount to giving tacit approval of the raids. "This partisan and unjust attitude of major powers is the biggest hindrance in the establishment of international peace," he said.

PAT president said it was ironic that on the one hand there was call for international peace and on the other hand, state terrorism was condoned. Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani urged the OIC and Arab League to play its due role in reining in Israel because international institutions like United Nation Security Council (UNSC) meant for peace-keeping and conflict resolution were helpless before Israeli power. "The double standards in policies of the major powers when it came to the Muslims should be shunned for peaceful international order," he concluded.
