International Spiritual Conference today

All preparations about the annual International Spiritual Conference have been completed. The Conference will be held in Jamia al-Minhaj, Township, Lahore (Pakistan) on the intervening night between 26th and 27th of Ramadan. This annual mega event under the banner of MQI attracts millions of people across the globe including renowned religious scholars, intellectuals, political and religious leaders, and representatives of all walks of life. Telling the details, Mian Zahid Islam, Director Media of MQI, said that the International Spiritual Conference would get underway after the Trahveh prayers. Salat-o-Tasbeeh would be offered at 12 at night. Noted Qurra and Naat Khawans would take part in the Conference and make their contribution. The chief highlight of the International Spiritual Conference is the speech of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, which would be telecast live from Canada. Strict security arrangements have been made in view of the prevailing security situation in the country. Hundreds of workers of MSM and Minhaj Youth League have been assigned duties to beef up the security. The official law enforcement agencies have also made security arrangements in this regard.

Director Media said that dozens of sub-committees had been formed in addition to the central committee to oversee the arrangements of the International Spiritual Conference. Huge LCD screens have been installed in both male and female sections where the keynote speech of Shaykh-ul-Islam would be shown live. It should also be kept in mind that the speech of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri could also be watched across the globe via internet. Special stalls of books and CDs and DVDs have also been put up. Grand scale arrangements of ‘Sahri’ are also in place. The Conference would end on the collective Dua to be led by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
