On Saturday 15th February 2014 the Muslim Youth League UK - Sisters (MYLUK-S) in Bradford arranged an impressive exhibition entitled “Celebrating the 63 Years of the Life of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri”. The purpose of the exhibition was to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Quaid day, the birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and to pay an educational tribute to his life and remarkable achievements.
Addressing the participants of the rally, PAT leader Sajid Mahmood Bhatti said that talks with the militants would prove to be a big failure. He said that ideology of one sect and their self-styled interpretation of Islam would not be acceptable to the people of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan came into being as a result of efforts of the saints and it was by acting upon their teachings that peace could be restored in the troubled country. He said that terrorists were trying to create a gulf between the armed forces and the people under a conspiracy but added in the same breath that they could not succeed in their nefarious designs. He said that while the security forces were being attacked, the government was insisting on advancing the dialogue process, which would further embolden the terrorists.
By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of the beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a farewell dinner in honour of Sr. Faiza Qadri was held in Mississauga Canada. The blessed event held at MWL- Canada President Sr. Razia Syeda’s house included a Milad-un-Nabi program in the evening of 14th February 2014. This event was the last event in which Sr. Faiza Qadri spoke at before moving to the USA.
On Saturday 26th January 2014 the Muslim Youth League Sisters in Bradford hosted “Celebrating the Beloved (PBUH) 2014” to commemorate the blessed birth of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The event took place at the Bradford Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre on Manningham Lane.
By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of the Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (Canada) celebrated the 13th annual Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW) Conference for sisters in Toronto on January 19, 2014. This was the first annual Mawlid event organized under the newly elected team led by Razia Syeda, President, and Shabana Moghul, General Secretary.
The 30th annual International Milad Conference will be held today (Monday) at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan. All arrangements have been completed in this regard. The hundreds of thousands of people will attend the Conference from across Lahore city only, while the millions of faithful will express their love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by attending Milad gatherings in their respective cities throughout the country. Shaykh-ul-Islam will deliver his keynote address through a video link from Canada. His speech will simultaneously be broadcast live from Canada in Lahore and across 250 cities of the country.
30th Annual Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference under MQI to be held today
On the 11th January 2014, by the Grace of Allah Almighty and His Beloved Prophet (SAW), Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League and Youth League celebrated the happiest day in this blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awal. Sisters from many different backgrounds including Italy and France all gathered to take part in Allah’s Mercy and Blessings. With the blessing of Allah (SWT) the upstairs hall was full of people.
On Tuesday, 7th of January, The Muslim Youth League UK-Sisters had the opportunity to attend a Mawlid programme at the Kabana Restaurant in Glasgow. A stall was set up, which consisted of literature produced by MYLUK-Sisters and also free literature was made available of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for the participants. The sister’s team consisted of Tasmiyyah (MYLUK-S Glasgow Co-ordinator), Humma, Malayka, Maria and Humaira. Contact details of the female participants were collected so that they could be updated with regard to future events.
30th annual International Milad Conference of MQI to be held at Minar-e-Pakistan
Under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, the Peace Walk proceeded from the suburban part of the capital, through the main street and shopping district of Copenhagen, and finally climaxed at the Central Town Square, “Rådhuspladsen”. Carrying torches and defying the extreme cold temperatures, men, women, and children turned up in huge numbers to mark the blessed occasion with the message of peace, tolerance, and peaceful co-existence.
On the New Year’s Eve, when most people prefer to go to the city to view the firework celebrations and attend parties, Muslim Youth League organised a spiritual gathering at Minhaj-ul-Quran International(London) to start the year with the remembrance of Allah (SWT) and demonstrate love for Holy Prophet (SAW).
The Muslim Youth League (UK) and Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International (Ashton) organised a three-day Spiritual Retreat at the Ashton Central Mosque from Friday 20th December to Sunday 22nd December 2013. The three days proved to be an ideal opportunity for the youth to learn about their true faith and practice. Lectures, workshops, spiritual gatherings of nasheeds and dhikr continued throughout three days.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is conveying a message to the Muslims asking them to express their true identity and eradicate the misconceptions caused by some extreme mindsets and minority groups. The retreat aims at focusing the minds of our youth and presenting a platform accessible to them in a language and format most appropriate to them.
On (Wednesday) 18th December 2013 Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters visited Acorn Children’s ward at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Waltham Forest to deliver gifts for sick children, as part of the Bartts Charity gift appeal for children. Whipps Cross serves some of the most ethnically diverse boroughs in Britain as well as some of the most deprived (Bart Charity: 2013).
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri on a three-day tour (10th to 13th Dec) to Denmark
It is over three decades now when Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri founded the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) in 1981 and procured a piece of land from LDA, measuring 2.5 acres—365-M, Model Town—in January 1983 to house its offices and educational institutes. Later, the MQI acquired an expansion of 20 acres in Township Lahore to develop an MQI education complex in the metropolitan city.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri spoke at a Danish youth seminar on “Delegitimizing the Al-Qaeda Narrative” hosted by Minhaj Youth League Denmark in Copenhagen on Thursday, December 12, 2013. The background of the seminar was that Minhaj Youth League Denmark has introduced and implemented the “Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings” authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in the curriculum of the education system in an attempt to equip the youth about real teachings of Islam and stop any possibility of their minds being polluted with extremist ideology. Incorporation of this aspect was the dire need of the time.
President of MQI, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that history bears witness to the fact that whenever exploitation of the poor reaches unbearable level, a glad tiding of impending revolution emerges. He said that the superior courts had taken up the case of missing persons, adding as to who would hold those responsible who had been denying people’s rights with abandon for last 66 years. He said that law and order was missing in Pakistan, so were foreign and homeland policies.
