On 14th of March 2010, Minhaj Youth League held a grand Mawlid Festival for Muslim youth in the Netherlands. It is the largest Mawlid gathering in Dutch which attracted more than 900 people from different ethnic backgrounds. Main speakers were Ustadh Usama Canon (US) and our chief guest Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri.
In the blessed month of Mawlid-un-Nabi (blessings and peace be upon him) the Women League and Muslim Youth League collectively organised six conferences across greater Glasgow. All the programmes commenced with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Sister Asifa who also translated the Sura, so that the audience did not only enjoy the recitation but understand the beautiful meanings of Divine words revealed upon the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) by Allah (SWT).
The 26th annual and the Islamic world's biggest ever "International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference" under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on the intervening night between the 11th and the 12th of the holy month of the Rabi-ul-Awwal (February 26, 2010) at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan.
Messenger of Allah’s Special Favour to the Muslim Umma: Shaykh-ul-Islam
On Monday, January 26th, Shaykh Habib Umer bin Muhammad bin Salem Bin Hafeez visited the main centre of Minhaj ul Quran International Denmark in Valby and attended a dinner program with MQI scholars, senior executives of MQI Denmark and Muslim Youth League. He arrived with a delegation at 22.30 in the evening and was greeted by MQI executive members.
Sahibzada Hussain delivered a thought provoking address on Islam’s concept of peace. He termed it as obligatory to present the true face of Islam to the world. It is our basic responsibility to assure the people of the world that Islam is a religion of peace and mercy.
On Thursday January 14, a seminar took place at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam titled ‘Challenges for Muslim Youth’, organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League Netherlands. The chief guest of this evening was Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, son of the renowned scholar Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He urged the youth present there to work hard for promotion of a culture of democracy and education and resist radicalism in all its manifestations.
The Muslim youth leaders in Conferences held throughout universities in the UK have called on Islamic extremists to stop promoting hatred in British universities. The Muslim Youth League UK’s conference series comes just a few weeks after a former London student tried to blow up an American plane. Nigerian terrorist, Umar Abdul Mutalib, had been active in extremist groups while studying at University College London; it emerged after the Christmas Day attack.
Dr Muhammad Tariq Jarral passes away
Dr Muhammad Tariq Jarral breathed his last in Ittefaq Hospital a few days ago. He remained in hospital for treatment for a few days but could not survive. He was brother of President MQI Virginia, USA Mr Noor Muhammad Jarral.
Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) taught Muslim Umma the way to live: Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz
During the month of Ramadhan Muslim Youth League UK Sisters (MYLUK-S) were involved in presenting radio shows on their local Ramadhan radio stations. The shows were hosted in English language and were aimed at younger listeners, discussing and presenting issues that were of interest to them and related to their needs. This was an opportunity for MYL UK-S to be able to provide informative and knowledge-filled slots over the air waves. Shows were held by MYLUK-S in Glasgow, Oldham, Nelson and Walsall.
Mr. Jose-Lluis, vice President of Catalonia, an autonomous state of Kingdom of Spain, paid a visit to Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre (Catalonia) at the head of an official delegation on October 22, 2009. This visit was in connection with the inauguration of open door session held in Minhaj Islamic Centre Barcelona.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) said: "Whoever stands in prayer during the nights of Ramadan, firm in faith and with a hope of reward, will be forgiven his previous sins."
International Spiritual Conference today
The fifth day at the 19th Itikaf City of Minhaj-ul-Quran International began with usual melodious voices of people reciting the Word of God and offering Durood and Salutation on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) collectively. The atmosphere was electrifying with people lost deep in remembrance of their Lord in the early hours of the fifth day of Itikaf. The third annual Mehfil-e-Naat organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League left its penetrating impact on the participants.
Minhaj Youth League Norway carried on the tradition from previous years and arranged an Iftaar program this year as well. The Iftaar program took place on Sunday the 13th September, and was for both sisters and brothers. After a process of inviting people trough posters, flyers, internet, e-mail, text messages and personal invitations - about 100 sisters and brothers joined us in the Iftaar program.
Thousands of people from across Pakistan and abroad joined the Itikaf City of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on September 11, 2009 on Friday evening. The delegations from the foreign countries had started reaching one week ago for participation in this pious gathering marked by understanding of religion, purgation & purification of ill-commanding self and repentance.
The Minhaj Youth League Norway arranged a three-day optional I’tikaf for brothers and sisters. Separate arrangements for I’tikaf were made for brothers and sisters in Minhaj-ul-Quran Center Oslo. The Itikaf was observed from 11th to 13th of September 2009. The youths thronged the center for registration before the evening ritual prayer. The verve and enthusiasm of the participants was exemplary and highly encouraging and motivating.
Thousands of people would join Itikaf city under the patronage of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on Friday evening (September 11, 2009). This is the biggest ever collective Itikaf gathering in the Islamic world after that of the Two Holy Mosques.
