On the 22nd March 2008 the Annual Milad-un-Nabi Women's Event was organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Halifax to celebrate the birthday of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him and his family). The Event was organised by the Minhaj-ul-Quran Halifax Women's League and Youth League. Approximately 500 women attended the event and celebrated our Beloved Prophet's (peace and blessing be upon him and his family) blessed birthday. The event was held at the Raven Street Community centre, Halifax.
celebrate the occasion of birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (saw) on March 20, 2008 at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan. Held on the night of 11th of Rabi-ul-Awal, this year's International Milad Conference was attributed to safeguarding the dignity and status of the Holy Prophet (SAW). Hundreds of thousands of people participated in this greatest gathering of the Islamic world with women being half of them.
During the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awal, Sunday 16th March 2008 marked the arrival of the largest annual Mawlid Conference in Nelson, UK exclusively for sisters. Organised by the Muslim Youth League and promoted via Awaz 103.1 FM, many sisters attended from local towns and national cities alike including guests from Oldham, Dewsbury and Accrington.

The central programme marking the 57th birth anniversary of Ambassador of Peace Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was held in the hotel Regent Plaza on February 24, 2008 under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League Karachi. The topic of the programme was "Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri: an epoch-making personality", which was presided over by Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, while former federal minister and young scholar Dr Aamir Liaqat Hussain was the guest of honour at the occasion. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri reached his 57th birthday on February 19th 2008 and ceremonies were held to commemorate the Quaid Day. In this connection a programme was arranged at Farid-e-Millat Research Institute, Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Internationl (MQI). The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. It was followed by Naat recitation of the Holy Prophet and greetings and salutations on his person. Sahibzada Husain Muhy-ud-Din Qadri, a member of Supreme council of MQI, presided over the programme.
The birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam celebrated with great enthusiasm
Shaykh Dr Muhammad bin Yahya al-Husayi al-Ninowy, one of the descendents of the Imam Husayn (radiyallah ta'ala anhu), visited Minhaj-ul-Quran International, London, to bless the participants with his noble presence on New Years Night. It was a spiritual gathering organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League, London. It aimed to keep distracted youths away from the amusements of the world and to enable them to participate in a setting which would bestow them with an enlightened heart. Many youth indulge in un-civilised behaviour during this night and a spiritual gathering in the house of Allah would be a great opportunity to divert their attentions towards their Creator. Roughly 500 brothers and sisters attended the function.
A conference on the martyrdom of Syed Imam Hussain (RA), in which a large number of sisters and youth attended, was held in Idara Minhaj ul Quran (Valby) arranged by Women & Women Youth League on Sunday the 20th January. The conference was opened with an introduction from the host Hafiza Saira Hassan followed by a recitation of the beautiful verses from the Quran by sister Aisha Naseem, member of WYL, whereupon the Prophet Muhammad SAW was praised in a naat-e-kalaam recited by Hafza Shah and Javeria Shah.

Alhumdulilah by the Grace and Blessings of Almighty Allah and the Wasila of His beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) I have had the opportunity to travel many times in the close company of my Shaykh and spiritual guide Qibla Quaidi Mutharram, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Indeed I would term this not as an opportunity as such but a privilege and honour that no amount of wealth can replace.
Alhamdulliah, by the blessings of Almighty Allah (swt) and His most beloved Rasul(saw) the Minhaj-ul-Quran youth league of �Rochdale� were able to organise an event held in the beautiful restaurant; Karims Orient Experience In Middleton. Guests arrived from around the Northwest of UK and from Scotland. In total there were 135 sisters.
The funeral prayers of Al-Haaj Muhammad Ismail Qadri, uncle of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, were performed on November 17, 2007 in his native city of Jhang. Al-Haaj Muhammad Ismail Qadri breathed his last after protracted illness on November 16. The funeral prayers of the deceased were held in the neighbouring graveyard of Jhang.
It was about 4:00 A.M., before Morning Prayer, when I saw a young man with black glasses trying to make ablution. A young man with him was trying to assist. After making ablution, his assistant took him to front lines of the mosque where he occupied his place closer to Shaykh-ul-Islam.
Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi Nazim-e-Aala Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Sajid Mehmood Bhatti Nazim Youth League, Miss Farrah Naz Nazima Women League paid a three days visit to attend a CD Exchange Programme and address a Spiritual Training Session in Karachi. They were given a warm welcome at Karachi Airport on 17th of August. The Workshop started at Minhaj Library adjacent to Rehmania Mosque, Tariq Road at 5 P.M. Nazim-e-aala chaired and presided over the workshop. The Nazims and Naib Nazims of 10 towns of Karachi, presidents of different UCs, and vast a majority of religious scholars, women, members of Youth League and Mustafvi Student Movement attended the workshop eagerly and enthusiastically. Qaisar Iqbal Qadri, Amir Minhaj-ul-Quran Karachi, Athar Javid Qadri, Nazim Minhaj-ul-Quran Karachi, Sayyad Zafar Iqbal, Saeed Qadri, Nazim Tanzimaat were also there to attend the workshop.
Minnhaj-ul-Quran Youth League held an important seminar "Youth Want Peace" at Ambassador Hotel on 12th of August on the occasion of world Youth day. Bilal Mustafvi chaired and headed the seminar. Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbassi Nazim-e-Aala Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Mr. Brain De Hunt, Principal officer of American Consulate Lahore, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti and G. M. Malik, director of Foreign Affairs Minhaj-ul-Quran International were the chief guests.
Alhamdulillah by the Grace and Blessings of Allah (Subhanahu wa taala) and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi Wa Sallim) Minhaj-ul-Quran International Women League Oslo has started a spiritual summer training course for women in Oslo
Safeer-e-Europe Minhaj-ul-Quran International Hafiz Nazir Ahmad's mother passed away and met Her Lord in Faislabad. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed his grief and condolence to the bereaved family. He said on the sad occasion that the departed soul was a very virtuous lady. And she had deep love for the Messenger of Islam. He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul in the world hereafter. He prayed for her an honourable station with the Lord of Mercy and her grave one of the gardens of Paradise.
On Sunday the 8th of July the sisters of Muslim Youth League (MYL) Nelson participated in a community event organised by Marsden Heights Community College (MHCC). People from the community and other various organisations also took part to create awareness of the new school and build bridges within the community.
