Minhaj Welfare Foundation has so far dispatched the relief goods worth 30 million rupees to the flood stricken areas and around 10 million people have been provided medical treatment by the medical camps set up by the Foundation. Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, expressed these views while addressing the Executive Council meeting of the MWF held here at the central secretariat. Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Aqil Malik, Mian Zahid Islam, Jawad Hamid and Ahmad Moeen were also present on the occasion. He said that 35 truckloads of relief goods worth Rs. 17.5 million rupees had been rushed to the affected areas including Noshehra, Swat, Charsadda, Kashmore, Nasirabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Leyya, Isa Kael, and Rajan Pur. Free medicines of One million rupees have been distributed among the patients in the medical camps. 0.5 million rupees have been spent on free ambulance service, while 1000 tents worth Rs. 10 million rupees were also handed over to the flood affectees. He said that more than 1000 people are living in the Minhaj Tent Settlement who are being provided with ‘sehri’ and ‘iftari’ in a decent manner. He also told the meeting that tent settlements are also being set up in Larkana, Charsadda, and Swat and more than 500 doctors are busy rendering their services in the medical camps established in the worst flood hit areas.
