Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri welcomes Supreme Court's sou moto on killing of youth at hands of Rangers
Condemning the murder of a youth at the hands of the Rangers, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the perpetrates of this horrible crime, which has shocked the entire nation, should be brought to justice and meted out exemplary punishment so that no one could dare repeat such a heinous crime in future. He said that people pay taxes to the government for their security and safety and the law enforcement agencies are not meant to kill peaceful and harmless citizens. He said that this incident can be a conspiracy against the country. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri welcomed the Supreme Court's sou moto notice of the matter and dubbed its initial verdict as representation of people's aspirations.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of MQI's Central Working Council through telephone from Canada today. PAT president Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Raja Jamil Ajmal, Jawad Hamid and other central leaders were also present on the occasion.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri highlighted the need of putting in place a mechanism of expelling black sheep from the law enforcement departments. He said that the judiciary would give decision within thirty days, which would serve as a deterrent for future.
