Conspiracies afoot to destabilize Pakistan: Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi
Pakistan is confronted with many crises of intense nature. Anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam forces want to destabilize this great Islamic country and they were leaving no stone unturned to achieve their nefarious purpose. Worsening law and order situation, terrorism, bomb blasts, economic worries, energy crisis and the absence of flour and sugar were among the most burning issues, which deserved to be taken up very seriously and on priority basis.
Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, expressed these views while addressing a joint meeting of Central Working Council of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and MQI the other day. Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Rana Farooq Mahmood, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Dr Shahid Mahmood, Dr Tanvir Azam Sandhu, Jawad Hamid, Iftikhar Bokhari, Syed Farhat Hussain Shah, Sarfraz Khan and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Dr Abbasi said that situation obtaining in Balochistan and NWFP posed major challenges to the federation of Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan needed to be on its guard on this count, unveil the conspiracies and convene All Parties Conference (APC) for forming a national consensus on the contentious issues. He also urged the government to take immediate steps to deal with the problem of terrorism. Dr Abbasi demanded of the government to make fool-proof security arrangements of state institutions, religious places, shrines, religious and political leaders and people at large.
Dr Raheeq Abbasi emphasized the need of formulating a national policy to respond to contemporary challenges in the domain of politics, economy, national security and take people on board on all national issues. He said that the every country did suffer from lethal crises and it is not the way of self-respecting nations to shy away from them.
