Minhaj Welfare Foundation all set to achieve hide collection target

Dr Shahid Mahmood, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), has said that the Foundation had made complete arrangements for the collection of 2 million hides from across Pakistan under its special hide collection initiative, which is presently underway. The hundreds of tons of meat of the sacrificial animals would be distributed among the poor, hospitals, the destitute and jails. Dozens of sub-committees had been formed under the central committee which would work hard day in and day out to achieve the target.

He expressed these views while talking to the members of these committees in a meeting held the other day to review the preparations in the Central Secretariat of MQI. Dr Shahid Mahmood passed special instructions to the workers and urged them to work their best to make the hide collection campaign a success. He said that Minhaj Welfare Foundation was busy in hundreds of welfare projects across the country and millions of rupees were being spent on these projects. He informed the participants that the income accruing from the sale of hides this year would be spent on the under-construction building of Agosh…an Orphan Care Home, which would have state of the art facilities for the upbringing, education, training and maintenance of the orphan children.
