Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri strongly condemns terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda in the strongest possible words. He said that terrorists, who are enemy of knowledge, want to throw us back into the Stone Age. He said that no one should entertain any confusion regarding the fact that terrorism cannot end in the presence of the rulers. He said that our children, our future, were bathed in blood once again and the mothers of the nation have tearful eyes yet again.
In his condemnatory statement, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that those who played their part in sabotaging the National Action Plan are responsible for these deaths. He asked the rulers as to whose responsibility it is to protect the students and educational institutions against threats of terrorism. He said that the law of jungle prevails in the country and the country and people have been left at the mercy of terrorists. He said that unending wave of terrorism has proven that there is a lack of seriousness on the part of government in eliminating terrorism. He said that fruits of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb are being lost due to lack of clarity and incompetence by the government.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the government has badly failed in protecting people’s lives and controlling terrorism. He said that Parliament can become the sovereign institution by proactively proceeding on public issues not merely through rhetoric. He said that every kind of expediency should be set aside and the NAP should be implemented in letter and spirit. He said that the heinous act of playing with human lives cannot be tolerated at any cost. He said that terrorists are beasts in the garb of humans, who deserve to be eliminated. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and give patience to the bereaved families to bear the loss of their near and dear ones. He also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
