Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri terms sacking of Information Minister a façade
While reacting to the government’s decision of sacking Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rasheed on the matter of planted news story published in Daily Dawn, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has predicted that no action will be taken against the former Minister, adding that the resignation is meant to throw dust in the eyes of the people and a façade enacted to hoodwink the public opinion. He said that Pervaiz Rasheed, who got the news item drafted and printed, will be reinstated after being baptized and it will be business as usual.
Dr Qadri said that a similar drama of removing Rana Sanaullah from his ministerial portfolio was enacted but he was given back his job after a few months. He further recalled that Mushahidullah was also sacked from his ministry following his offensive interview with BBC after the military brought its pressure to bear upon the government. He said that Mushahidullah has become the Prime Minister’s spokesperson today. He said that where fraud is committed with the national security institutions, what can one say of the state of national security there? He said that situation has come to such a pass that such heinous games are played regularly with the national security institutions and what is unfortunate is that no one is being made an example for such an attitude.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the question is as to why the mastermind of this whole game is not held accountable and proceeded against under Article 6 of the Constitution. Are any more proofs are needed?
Meanwhile, PAT Chairman reached Morocco from the UK to attend an International Conference there. The people belonging to various walks of life including traders, and local leaders of PAT, rolled out a red carpet welcome for him at the airport.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has strongly condemned the incident of firing on a Majlis in Karachi and expressed his deep sense of grief on the loss of precious lives. He termed it as a conspiracy to fan the fire of sectarianism. He prayed for early recovery of the injured and demanded that those involved in the incident should be apprehended and meted out an exemplary punishment.
