Kingdom in name of democracy in Pakistan: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that social, political and economic justice has become non-existent and a kingdom in the name of democracy has been established in the country. He said that the Quaid-e-Azam assured minorities of complete protection but majority of the masses face exploitation at the hands of a handful of corrupt ruling elite here. He said that educated, talented youth are unemployed whereas the children of the rulers become billionaires well before they can attain adulthood. He asked what kind of democracy it is in which the Prime Minister does not even bother to answer questions regarding sources of his phenomenal wealth. He said that corrupt and incompetent rulers have put Pakistan on the path of corruption, militancy and terrorism that was achieved for promotion of love and development.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking to senior PAT leaders yesterday. He asked whether the Quaid-e-Azam made Pakistan for the purpose that when a prime minister is asked about the sources of his income, he lies and a common man continues to long to meet his both ends meet. He said that girls grow old due to financial constraints of their parents to afford their marriages whereas the rulers do not have even a bit of idea of where their properties lie parked in the world. He said that Pakistan was achieved to give respect and basic necessities of life to the common man but these objectives have not been achieved.
The PAT Chairman said that the corrupt elite has adopted different ways to muzzle freedom of expression and those who dare speak the truth do it at a heavy cost. He said that before the partition, incident such as Jallianwala Bagh happened under the British, now Model Town like incidents take place in the rule of those who have the mindset of the colonial English. He said that the justice system has not been established in the Quaid’s Pakistan despite passage of 70 years. He said that hoarding, nepotism, loot and plunder have increased instead of decreasing.
Dr Qadri said that the PAT workers are engaged in the struggle to make Pakistan the country of the Quaid’s dreams, adding that they are rendering sacrifices for this purpose. He said that this dark night of oppression will end and sun of justice will rise. He said that peaceful and educated youth of Pakistan will rid it of political evils through democratic struggle.
Meanwhile, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri strongly condemned the attack in Westminster in the United Kingdom. He expressed his sympathies for the bereaved families.
