Expatriate community worried over state of national affairs: GM Malik
The leadership of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Italy and Spain chapters held meeting with acting Secretary General MQI GM Malik in Central Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat Lahore. The leaders told GM Malik that expatriate Pakistanis are much concerned due to ever increasing foreign loans, rampant corruption and widespread injustices. Minhaj overseas leaders, Altaf Cheema, Asim Shahzad regretted that it was tantamount to ridiculing the patriotism and sacrifices of overseas Pakistani nationals by not counting them in population and housing census. It is highly unjustified that expatriate community that burns the midnight oil to send invaluable remittances for our beloved country are not being counted. He demanded that CJP must take notice of this.
GM Malik informed the delegation that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri frequently discussed the problems confronting the overseas Pakistanis and this issue would be brought up before higher-ups. He said that Dr Qadri wanted the true democracy and rule of law. He is struggling for complete eradication of corruption, terrorism and bribery culture in our society. He is endeavoring for a society where justice would be within the reach of every one without any discrimination of wealth and status. This is the same reason he had to receive the ‘gift of 14 dead bodies’ form the corrupt and brutal system and hundreds thousands of PAT workers were imprisoned.
Acting Secretary General informed the delegation about Model Town incident and said that anti-terrorism court had summoned the accused from IG Punjab to constable but we are demanding the summoning of Sharif brothers and their ministers because until the people who gave the orders were not summoned, neither would the principles of justice be upheld nor would the culprits be punished.
He further said that IG Punjab has also availed temporary relief by challenging the anti-terrorism decision in the Lahore High Court. God be willing, our lawyers will prove in the LHC that the rulers’ orders were carried out by IG Punjab. He said that the Model Town incident was a great sacrifice that would cause the downfall of this brutal system and the blood of fallen workers of MQI Quran would not go in vain. The barbaric, brutal and blood thirsty dictators would face humiliating defeat.
