Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri congratulates Imran Khan on electoral victory, endorses his speech

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated Imran Khan and the PTI on their excellent victory in elections and expressed the desire that he establishes his governments in Islamabad, KP and Punjab. He said that allegations of rigging are made in every elections, stating that the PML-N and other opposition parties should accept the poll outcome with an open heart and give respect to the vote. He said that the responsibility to administer justice to the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and get the perpetrators jailed now lies on the shoulders of Imran Khan and he hoped that the PTI Chairman would fulfill this responsibility. He said that the nation deserves to be congratulated on defeating the most corrupt mafia and ending the reign of the robbers.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views after reaching Germany in connection with the organizational tour of Europe yesterday. He said that the PAT’s decision not to participate in elections as a party was based on principles. He said that we stick to our point of view so far as the reform of the system is concerned. He said that it is the faces that are changed through elections, while the welfare of the nation lies in the changing the system. He said that Imran Khan struggled for two decades to change the system and expressed the hope that he paves the way for bringing about change in the system.
The PAT Chairman said that he was a great supporter of democracy and the workers of his party used the power of vote to advance the process of democracy during the recently concluded elections. He said that the Sharif brothers would criticize the verdicts in the corruption references and say that the real verdict will be delivered by the people’s court on July 25. He said that the people have given their decision and they should accept it now. He said that the people of Pakistan have suffered hugely at the hands of the so-called corrupt elite and now is the time that the fruits of democracy reach them, stating that now the poor will benefit from the change that has come.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri further said that we fully endorse the speech delivered by Imran Khan with regard to the broad contours of his policies in the government and expressed the hope that he utilizes his best abilities to successfully implement the agenda. He said that there is no doubt that Pakistan needs the austerity culture and institutional reforms. He said that good neighbourly relations are as important as reviving mutually beneficial relationship with the United States. He said that the guiding principle mentioned by Imran Khan with regard to Afghanistan in his speech is important, stating that it is Pakistan that is more worried for establishment of peace in the war-torn country. He said that peace in Afghanistan will lead to establishment of sustainable peace in Pakistan, stating that the peace is the shared objective of both the countries.
