Hazrat Ali (RA) repository of knowledge & wisdom: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

In a statement on the day of martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), MQI leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that there is Hadith wherein the Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate.” He said that Hazrat Ali (RA) reported twelve thousand prophetic traditions. He was the paramount figure in the Prophet’s household and the interpreter of the Holy Quran and Hadith. Hazrat Ali (RA) spent his entire life in spreading the values of love, peace, brotherhood and collectivity.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Islamic history is replete with the heart-warming incidents of bravery, and extraordinary courage of Hazrat Ali (RA), stating that every moment of his blessed life is marked by the lessons of guidance, wisdom and enlightenment. He said what else could be a greater sign of good luck and greatness than the fact that the Holy Prophet (SAW) once held Hazrat Ali’s (RA) hands and said: “Anyone who acknowledges me as his Master, Ali is his Master. O God, keep him as Your friend who considers Ali as his friend and have enmity with he who considers Ali as his enemy.”

MQI leader said that Hazrat Ali (RA) protected the holy companions and the Muslims from hatred and mischiefs till the last breath of his life. His sayings will continue to enlighten the hearts of the seekers of knowledge and quench their thirst till the Day of Judgment. He said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) once stated: “I am from Ali and Ali is from me.” He said that the remembrance of Hazrat Ali is worship. Looking at his face is the worship and obedience of Ali (RA) is a guarantee of the obedience of Allah Almighty.

Dr Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) stated in a tradition reported by Hazrat Ali (RA) that only the faithful will love him (Ali) and the hypocrite will have a bias towards him.
