Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri strongly reacts to handcuffing of Muhammad Sultan on hospital bed
Imran Khan deserves appreciation for providing equal justice to all in his "New Pakistan" where the convicted criminals are let free and the imprisoned victims of Model Town incident are enchained even in the operation theater.#JusticeForSultan @ImranKhanPTI

In a strong reaction to Muhammad Sultan being handcuffed & tied to the hospital bed, MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri 'congratulated' Prime Minister Imran Khan, for, in his Naya Pakistan, the law has become 'equal' for all. He said, on the one hand, those convicted by the courts are free to go abroad, on the other, the innocent and poor Pakistanis, sentenced to jail terms on self-concocted and false cases, get operated upon and treated in handcuffs even on hospital beds. He said he was deeply hurt by the treatment meted out to prisoners of Model Town massacre.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while talking to senior leaders on phone. He said one of the prisoners of Model Town passed away as a result of kidney failure as well as the lack of timely medical treatment during incarceration. He said his petition for bail on medical grounds could not be fixed for hearing till the day of his death. He asked if it was the Naya Pakistan where everyone is equal before the law.
I am extremely grieved to see the inhumane treatment of arrested PAT workers, two among which have died in jail and despite bring critically ill their bail applications are not even heard.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said the treatment meted out to Muhammad Sultan deserves to be condemned in all aspects. He said 107 PAT workers were sentenced to five years in jails for protesting oppression perpetrated in Model Town, stating that Muhammad Sultan is one of these workers. He said no one has been punished in Model Town case despite the passage of more than five years and the case is being heard in an anti-terrorism court in Lahore. He said contrarily those who staged a peaceful protest against the tragedy were arrested and sentenced to five years in jail term. He said the government did change but nothing has changed for the family members of martyrs as well as those incarcerated on false charges.
Convicted criminals who looted national exchequer are free to leave the country, but innocent victims of Model Town incident are being punished for protesting against the bloodbath of 17th June. Even worse, victim is kept enchained while being hospitalized in critical condition.
