MQI Denmark holds Dars-e-Nizami Convocation

On the 16th of January 2022, a memorable and unique Dars-e-Nizami Convocation was held by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark at NV Center. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a very limited number of people were allowed to enter and only by invitation. An exclusive gathering of approx. 100 people attended this beautiful occasion including MQI DK executives, teachers, students, and their families.

For the first time in Denmark 22 students at once received an academic degree in Islamic studies. 13 students completed Ash-Shahadat-ul-Aaliyyah and 9 students completed Ash-Shahadat-ul-Sanawiyyah from Jamia Islamia Minhaj-ul-Quran in collaboration with Minhaj School of Islamic Sciences Denmark.

The programme was presided by Allama Syed Mahmood Shah Sahab Al-Azhari (President MEC Scandinavian zone) and hosted by Allama Faiz Rasool and Hassan Bostan (joint general secretary, MEC). Tilawat-e-Quran was made by Ustadh-ul-Qurra Qari Nadeem Akthar and Qasīdat al-Burda was read by Haseeb Yousaf.

Opening remarks were made by Dr. Urfan Zahoor Ahmed (President NEC, MQI DK), where he highlighted this special achievement as one of the greatest in Europe. He also conveyed the special greeting from founding leader of MQI Sayyidi Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and introduced the special video message by Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri (Charmain Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International), in which he congratulated MQI DK Executives, teachers and students. Afterwards announcement of results was made, and students were given a medal, result card, degree, flowers, and a gift basket by ‘Holmegården - House Of Inspiration’ and gift card by ‘Kashmir Restaurant’. The top positions were awarded with special medals and gifts.

The receivers of Ash-Shahdat-ul-Aaliyyah were Muhammad Nasir (1st position), Shamsa Noor (2nd position), Zahoor Malik Hussain (3rd position), Khadija Younas, Khadija Sajjad, Muhammad Hassan Yousaf, Muhammad Hamza Yousaf, Neda Hussain, Huda Hussain, Aima Hussain, Hafsa Akhtar, Khalid Aslam, Samia Tayyiba Yousaf. Shamsa Noor gave the student speech in Urdu while Malik Zahoor Hussain delivered his speech in Danish.

The receivers of Ash-Shahadat-ul-Sanawiyyah were Ayman Arshad Hussain (1st position), Amina Sajjad (2nd position), Hafiz Muhammad Zeeshan Hussain (3rd position), Saman Ashraf, Haider Hussain, Alesha Malik, Faiza Mehmood Shah, Sidrah Akram & Ali Hasnain Ahmad. Bilal Hussain, Ayesha Akram & Dr. Shazia Rana are ongoing students of Ash-Shahadat-ul-Sanwiyyah.

Special shields were given to all the teachers with gift cards to appreciate their contributions: Allama Syed Naeem Shah, Allama Abdul Sattar Siraj, Mufti Irshad Hussain Saeedi, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari, Allama Muhammad Ishtiaq Al-Azhari, Allama Attique Ahmed Hazarvi, Allama Faiz Rasool, Dr. Nadeem Asim, Ustadh Zoraiz Khushdil, Qari Nadeem Akhtar, Aunty Nafees Fatima Iftikhar, Maryam Idrees.

Allama Abdul Sattar Siraj, Director MQI Manchester, former director MQI DK, delivered his keynote address at the Convocation.

The complete details of the education were shared by Mufti Irshad Hussain Saeedi, Director Rehmania Masjid Educational Complex Karachi, former director MQI DK.

H.E. Mr. Ahmad Farooq, Ambassador of Pakistan to Denmark, congratulated MQI DK for this great achievement and emphasized the importance of connecting 2nd and 3rd generation of Danish-Pakistanis to Pakistani language, culture, and history. He announced the planning of ‘Youth Convention’ and invited all the students to join this event and to contribute with their religious knowledge as well as their technical skills.

At the end Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari thanked all the esteemed guests. He also received a special award handed over by Sheikh Ali Imran (Director, Minhaj Education Board Europe) & Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry (Gen. sec. MQI DK) as Principal of Minhaj School of Islamic Sciences and responsible for the continuous education of Dars-e-Nizami.

The final remarks with focus on teachings of Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam and a very spiritual dua was made by Syed Mahmood Shah Al-Azhari and afterwards dinner was served.

Important and distinguished guests included Syed Aejaz Haidar Bukhari Shah (Counselor, Broendby Municipality & former president MQI DK), Allama Muhammad Awais Qadri (Nazim Dawat & Tarbiyat, MQI Sweden Malmö), Allama Nafees Ahmed (Director, Ishoej Masjid), Haji Muhammad Riaz (President, Madani Masjid Copenhagen) & Mrs. Ayesha Farooq (First-lady Ambassador of Pakistan)

Unfortunately, Sheikh Muhammad Ashfaq (Ameer-e-Tehreek, MQI DK), Hafiz Sajjad Ahmed (Senior Vice President MQI DK & President LEC NV), Muhammad Naveed Anjum (finance sec. MQI DK) & Sibghat Riaz (President LEC Valby) were not able to attend the Convocation due to being ill and we pray for their quick recovery.
