Social media most effective mode of communication for Dawah: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
The youth should engage in the dawah work through the positive use of social media platforms for the establishment of Mustafavi society. Social media is the best form of public communication in our times.
MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur made these remarks while addressing a meeting of Fehm-e-Deen project. He said that about 80 million Pakistanis are using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms and spend hours on social media. He said that if ten minutes out of this time can be devoted to the preaching of religious and ethical values, it can save the society from moral decay and disorder. He said that if nothing else, we start off with sharing a Quranic verse and Hadith, we can do the duty of spreading the word of our great religion.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur congratulated the whole team of Fehm-e-Deen project for making thousands of clips from the speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and then disseminating them to a wider audience through the social media platforms.
Hafeezullah Javed, Director of the project, presented a performance report on the occasion. He said that over 114000 people have got themselves registered so far in the 14 months. He said that 160 short clips were prepared and spread in this time period.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that once the mobile app of the Fehm-e-Deen project is ready, it will help amplify the message and find greater traction. The meeting was attended by Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Mian Abdul Qadir, Muhammad Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, Abdul Sattar Minhajian, Adil Zaheer, Sardar Umer Daraz, Allama Ishtiaq Chishti, Shahbaz Tahir, Mansoor Qasim Awan, Umme Habiba Ismail, Anila Ilyas, Qari Riyasat Ali Chaddhar, Sheikh Farhan and Raza Tahir.
