The Battle of Badr led to victory of truth: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

The founding-leader of MQI, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has said that the victory of truth and righteousness was achieved through the Battle of Badr. The message of the Battle of Badr is that success in this world and the hereafter lies in obedience to Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him). The believers, who trusted their faith, annihilated the arrogance of the disbelievers. Even today, if the nation wishes to revive its dignity and awe, it should tread the path shown by Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him).

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated in his address that under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the small army of Islam fulfilled the right of obedience to the commander, and Allah also bestowed victory and success upon them. He said that today also, the criterion for success lies in obedience to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Allah Almighty has referred to the Day of Badr as “Youm-ul-Furqaa," meaning the day of distinguishing between truth and falsehood.

He said that the Battle of Badr was a day of victory and success for the people of faith, adding that on this day, truth became clear and a decisive victory was achieved, and disgraceful defeat was decreed for disbelief.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the arrogance and pride of the polytheists were buried in the dust. He said that the Battle of Badr marked the beginning of peace and security for humanity.

“The Battle of Badr holds great historical significance. It teaches reliance on Allah Almighty,” he concluded.
