The company of the Friends of Allah key to character building: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, while addressing the spiritual session in Itikaf City, spoke on the subjects of reformation of character and etiquettes of life. He stated that while most parts of the human body are created in pairs, Allah created the heart alone so that it becomes a symbol of its uniqueness. He said that when someone is afflicted with a heart condition, according to doctors' instructions, they even refrain from consuming their favorite foods, but they do not think about the condition of their inner world, the heart.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that those who contemplate on their inner selves and the depths of their hearts become acquaintances, friends, and close devotees of Allah. Just as we visit cardiologists for the diseases of the apparent heart, similarly, we should go to the healers of the inner heart for its treatment, and they are the friends of Allah and their gatherings. When the heart becomes pure from all kinds of impurities and desires, and turns solely towards Allah, it becomes a sound heart.

The Chairman Supreme Council said that those who leave their beds in the middle of the night to remember Allah, perform bowing and prostration in His presence, and express gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon them, are protected from the attacks of Satan. The company, conversations, and gatherings of the friends of the Most Merciful safeguard them from the pleasures, desires, attractions, and sins of the world.

“If you want to be prosperous and successful, bury your existence, status, and feelings of greatness and importance in the ground of anonymity,” he said.
