Good deeds essential along with correctness of faith: Allama Rana Idris
Deputy Secretary General of MQI, Allama Rana Muhammad Idris, has said that it is the responsibility of every Muslim to engage in good deeds along with maintaining the correctness of faith and beliefs. He emphasized on avoiding evil and striving to make oneself and others righteous. He mentioned that spreading goodness and eradicating evil is the best course of action, as Allah Almighty has instructed in Surah Al-Imran: "You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "You are all responsible, and you will all be questioned about your subjects."
These thoughts were expressed by Allama Rana Muhammad Idris while addressing the blessed congregation of Jumu'ah prayers in Jamia Al-Mubarak, Model Town. He urged every Muslim to strive to align their actions, morals, habits, and dealings according to the Shariah and Sunnah.
“Merely being concerned about one's own faith and deeds is not enough; rather, gradually and step by step, one should strive to guide all members of their family, neighbors, and community onto the path of righteousness,” he said.
He emphasized that it becomes the responsibility of everyone to work for the betterment of society and to cooperate practically and intellectually in the efforts aimed at societal reform.
President Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, performed the Friday prayers in Jamia Al-Mubarak. He also met with the worshippers, workers, and locals after the prayers.
